http://fm.ea-tel.eu/flashmedia/flashmeeting/fm9351_beba74-9351 http://fm.ea-tel.eu/fm/memo.php?pwd=beba74-9351 http://fm.ea-tel.eu/public A session on subpersonalities for the psychosynthesis community in Aotearoa New Zealand psychosynthesis subpersonalities 0:8937:0 282:4612:0 2213:5583:0 that is interesting, I better pick up a copy of his book as the Trance Model fits in with the creation of subs the Trance Model was developed by Dennis Wier, I will send you some more info Amanda... in brief I saw a correlation between Trance's (Altered States of COnsciousness) and the formation of sub personalities I intend to write some papers on Trance and Psychosynthesis ... but in brief... sub personalities I suggest exhibit some of the 'things' that trances do in what way?? e.g. Trance "logic" where things make sense while in a trance (or subpersonality) ... like in a sleep-dream ... but when not in that state the logic is faulty interested to hear more there is a narrowing of choices... in a sub or a trance you often don't think you have many choices (think of a victim sub) no, not necessarily the extreme end... when in a subpersonality you live out of a subset of choices also... often "mantras" are used ... "I'm not good" ... "the whole world is against me" ... etc etc these serve the same as meditation mantras to shut down some cognitive awareness OK so negative affirmations? basically... positive also .. "I must succeed at work" (may neglect family) so... in basics... Trance will move us out of any "normal" state of consciousness it could be added to the list... but Dennis's doesn't talk about subpersonalities I still suggest the model covers them Would you jot down a few notes in an e-mail? (and I will soon get around to writing a detail explaination!) :) from my experience (and also what Jay Ray taught) ... subs are generally formed in early childhood as copy mechanisms around a core belief - is this standard PS teaching?
