Gonzalo? that would be the microsoft approach, right? embrace and domain :) so, I tried to get pitched at Google the question...ok, google engineers, you're smart, and you have kids in school and their teachers need help, what would *you* do to create a "Google Education" I don't think that particular idea got pitched, but we (David Wiley) did get some traction on working with Google to deploy some tools under development to help education and learning, problem is I don't remember exactly what they're working on For example; all the tools I can find to develop metadata profiles are extremely abstract and difficult to integrate/use. This I guess is to be expected as the field matures, but it is a very frustrating place for a non-programmer right now! ;) sorry no.. I have been looking at the reload program www.reload.ac.uk (I have only been involved in VLEs for a couple of weeks, so I have very limited experiance anyway...) I agree... There is lots of JISC project work in this field (in the UK) Erik you are breaking up, a lot no audio However, a good driver for progress is the VLE community. It seems very accessable, lots of people at different levels contributing freely.
