I sold the house instead. I'd think seriously about selling the house, but it still needs a lot of work and I'm afraid the foundation crack would deter buyers. That, and I like the house :-) That was not the idea, Ralph. Just remembered the lime injection thing. :^) is the lime injected into the soil, below the footer? To harden the soil or increase it's load capacity? Yes, it destroys the clay structure supposedly. I recall lime was recommended when I lived in Phoenix to break up the caleche (clay) - but I've recently also heard that lime is used to harden normal soil.
